How to get from the Zürich main train station to the ETH-Hoenggerberg campus
Tram 11 -> Bus 69 -> ETH-Hoenggerberg
1. When you arrive at the Zurich main train station (Hauptbahnhof), follow the signs for Tram 11 (color coded green). Tram 11 stops at the tram stops Bahnhofquai/HB and Bahnhofstrasse/HB. Both stops are about the same distance from the train station (3-5 min walking distance).

You can either buy a single ticket valid for 1 hour or a day ticket valid for 24 hours. Since the day ticket is only twice the cost of the single ticket, it is often more economical to buy the day ticket. The day ticket (Tageskarte) costs 6.40 SFr (less if you have a Swiss Half Price Card) and is good for trams and buses for 24 hours in the Stadtnetz or Zurich city region.

2. Take Tram 11 in direction Bahnhof Oerlikon to Bucheggplatz (6 stops from Bahnhofquai/HB, stop before Bucheggplatz is Laubiweg).

* Tram 11 runs every 7 to 8 minutes during the day.
* Travel time from Bahnhofquai/HB to Bucheggplatz is about 10 minutes.

3. Take Bus 69 (in direction ETH-Hoenggerberg) to the final stop ETH-Hoenggerberg (6 stops from Bucheggplatz).

* The Bus 69 bus stop is on the same platform that you exit onto at Bucheggplatz.
* There is a great view of Zurich city along Bus 69 route on the left side of the bus. You can even see the Alps on a clear day.
* Bus 69 runs every 7 to 8 minutes during the day.
* Travel time from Bucheggplatz to ETH-Hoenggerberg is about 8 minutes.

To get to the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biophysics (HPK building)
4. When you get off at the ETH-Hoenggerberg bus stop, walk along the road away from the big buildings to the small road which goes
to the main garage (about 150 meters). Turn right and follow this short road, go up the iron stairs just where the garage entrance is and
follow the walkway in the same direction as the small road before. The walkway ends just in front of the institute.
