Fred Damberger obtained a B.S. in Physics at the University of Illinois, and his Ph.D. at the University of California at Berkeley in the Biophysics Group. His Ph.D advisor was Prof. David Wemmer and his dissertation "Solution Structure of the Heat Shock Transcription Factor by Multidimensional Heteronuclear NMR" was completed in 1995. He is currently involved in both research and teaching as well as in support of NMR instrumentation. His research interests include the application of NMR to structure/function relationships in proteins as well as the development of methods for analysis of NMR spectra.
