• NCCR Structural Biology Homepage
  Swiss specialists in experimental structure determination by X-ray crystallography, NMR spectroscopy and electron microscopy/crystallography, in protein biophysical chemistry and modern molecular biology, and in computational biology have created a National Center of Competence in Research (NCCR) to meet the challenge of linking the ever increasing biological data generated in the genomics era with related structural and functional information.
• Swiss Light Source (SLS) Villigen
  The Swiss Light Source (SLS) at the Paul Scherrer Institut is a third-generation synchrotron light source. With an energy of 2.4 GeV, it provides photon beams of high brightness for research in materials science, biology and chemistry.
• Visit MedILS, Mediteranean Institute of Life Sciences, an international renaissance project, somewhat inspired by the Florence Academy of Medicis, and set up as a scientific, social and even political experiment. Its primary goal is to breed a specially trained generation of young scientists: creative, multidisciplinary professionals trained to think the unthinkable and do experiments about it.
